Attention Upcoming Freshman Parents:
We want to assist you and your student with their elective choices for 9th grade. Every 9th grader has the opportunity to sign up for 3 electives unless they have to take a remedial math or reading class. If your student takes band for 1 year then 1/2 of their PE credit will be met. They will only need to take the other 1/2 credit class and that can be done later on in high school. There is plenty of room in a student's schedule for band and other electives. Students who wish to play sports and be in band will be able to successfully do both. The student, sport coaches and the band director will work out a practice schedule that will allow the student to participate in all their elective choices.
